1. Types of cookies we set

Essential cookies

Required for ResvSpot to function—authentication, load balancing, fraud prevention, and remembering your session when switching between dashboard pages.

Typical duration: Session to 12 months

Performance cookies

Help us measure booking funnel conversion rates, identify slow pages, and monitor service uptime across New Zealand and Australia.

Typical duration: 30 days to 12 months

Personalization cookies

Allow us to tailor in-app recommendations, highlight relevant features, and remember your previously viewed services or team members.

Typical duration: Up to 12 months

Advertising cookies

Used only on our marketing site to run retargeting campaigns on platforms like Google and Meta when you opt in.

Typical duration: 30 days to 6 months

2. Other tracking technologies

In addition to cookies, we occasionally rely on the following technologies. They are treated with the same care as cookies and subject to your consent preferences.

  • Local storage to cache interface preferences like table filters or staff calendar default views.
  • Tracking pixels that measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
  • Session replay tools limited to anonymized booking flows for debugging.

3. How we use these technologies

Platform reliability

Essential cookies keep merchants signed in, sync their calendar settings, and protect accounts from brute-force attacks.

Product insights

Aggregated analytics highlight drop-off points in multi-step booking flows and help the product team prioritize UX improvements for salons, spas, and clinics.

Marketing and attribution

With your consent, we measure campaign attribution and run retargeting ads to reach operators who previously explored ResvSpot but have not yet signed up.

4. Managing preferences

You decide how ResvSpot can use cookies. Here are your options.

  • Use the “Cookie Preferences” button in the ResvSpot banner (bottom left of every page) to accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies.
  • Adjust your browser settings to clear cookies or block them altogether. This may impact functionality such as staying signed in.
  • Use private or incognito mode to prevent persistent cookies from being stored after your browsing session ends.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on provided by Google.

Custom choices made in the banner are stored locally in your browser and honoured for 12 months unless you clear cookies sooner. You can revisit the banner anytime via the “Cookie Preferences” link located in the footer of every ResvSpot page.

5. Third-party cookies

Some analytics and advertising partners place their own cookies when you visit our marketing pages. They act as independent controllers for that data and provide their own notices. When feasible we require them to honor signals sent from ResvSpot’s consent banner. Refer to our Privacy Policy for a current list of sub-processors.

6. Questions

Contact [email protected] or submit our contact form if you have any questions about cookies or need help updating your preferences.
